PILATES TEACHER: CHRISTINA SUTTER

Pilates training is an ideal complement to my background as a dancer and dance teacher. It provides the foundation for me to move without pain and to feel strong and balanced.

 

I came to Pilates because of persistent back problems. For me, it is a tool that I can use for prevention but also for muscular pain.

 

At the same time, I find it enjoyable because the equipment and mat exercises are so varied that even a movement enthusiast like me never gets bored!

 

I incorporate all my life and professional experience into my classes. It is important for me to perceive people holistically and work in a positive mood - with a pinch of humour! - to work. You should feel challenged but also well looked after if you have pain or are restricted in your movements.

 

Fortunately, Pilates can be adapted to any age and life situation, making it exciting and challenging for me as a trainer.

 

It is also important to me to connect the movements with each other and the breath; this creates a beautiful flow, which is also an essential element in dance and improves the quality of the movement and your awareness.
